What did you do today that was productive?
Besides work, I didn't really do anything productive... I am okay with that.  After a nightmare drive home from work, I was happy to relax and not do anything productive.
What did you do today that you valued?
On my way home from work I stopped at the art store to buy a new sketchbook.  During my time at art school I spent more time at the art store than seems possible; and I probably spent an entire years salary on supplies for my classes... I really enjoy spending time at the art store, it is very relaxing for me and it reminds me of my time at school. I have not worked on many creative personal projects for a while and being at the art store really made me want to start something new.

As mentioned above, I had a nightmare drive home from work - I did not value that...  However, after arriving home I spent a little time relaxing and not doing anything really - I did value that time.  After relaxing for a while I went out to dinner with friends - that was good too.
Did you learn anything today?
When I started this project I did not have a way to measure valued time, I only measured productive time. I equate productivity with value and therefore did not require a valued time measurement. It wasn't until talking with a friend about the project that I realized I needed a separate measurement for my valued time.  In the beginning, today would not have been a valued day for me because my productivity outside of work was low, however, I am beginning to learn that I can value an unproductive day as much or more than a productive day.  This is a big deal for me.  I used to stress out if I was not constantly working on a project.
Any other thoughts?
Someone at work was fired and escorted out by police today.  I do not know what happened... I wonder what I would do if I suddenly lost my job - I think I would be real good at filling my time with productive projects...
